Chennai India Mission

The Simi Church of Christ has been sending mission teams from our congregation for a number of years since the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami which killed over 230,000 people in fourteen countries, and inundated coastal communities with waves up to 98 ft. high. It was one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history. Our members have provided financial assistance from special collections. We have sent up to eight member teams from among our congregation to help with donations for medical supplies, food and water. There have been thousands of Bibles distributed with dozens of Gospel meetings held to bring the comforting Word of God to the people. In recent years our brother, Jeff Skinner, has made many trips to Chennai to help Dr. Paul Renganathan with the construction of church buildings so members would not have to meet outdoors to worship. Remember, some districts do not by law, allow for religious worship in public places.

FLORIE’S  MISSION to DELIVER BIBLES to the FILIPINO PEOPLE

HONDURAS MISSION WORK CONTINUES

Maxi McAfee and Suzanne Matteson  left in June for Honduras on another medical mission. They will host clinics during the mission in different locations during the 5-day work weeks. They will probably see more than 700 patients in the 4 days each week with  physicians and nurses. Over 25 people went this year to service the Honduran people. Please be in prayer for their safety and for a successful mission to the Honduran people.
